Do you see the 'twigs' above, I twisted the barcode strip that comes with the paper and distressed it with my brow distress ink. An idea at that moment and I love it. My first invention!
Autumn leaves! I painstakingly cut out each leave by itself and stick them onto the base of the paper (the original autumn leaves paper) and some are on pop-ups. Highlighted some with sticklers (glitter) and some with glossy accent to add some dimensions.
Dolly paper (the ones used to put the cake for baking) was used to highlight the title. The cardstock (background paper) was dull and thus it was difficult to make the title show. And yes, I had already stuck my 'house' down so i had to slowly peel the house out to slip the ends of the dolly in..
The journally card that I made and hid it behind the dolly. A layout is never complete without journally and I'm tryin to do it coz I really hate my handwriting. (thus, the hidding behind the dolly)
This is the roof that I did, bit by bit, using strips of paper. Do you like it? Ro says its unique. But he didnt praise the whole layout... Autumn leaves fell from the trees and got stuck on the roof..
Laced the edge to soften the feel. Perhaps I shld have distressed the strips of paper to make the house look older?
Hope you like this... Alot of firsts.. first twigs, first handmade roofs, first use of glossy accent to accentuate the bellies, first use of dolly and first journally! Took me a total of 6 - 7 hours in front of the telly to complete this... Yea. I love to multi-task!
