Our 2nd anniversary dinner..

Al Dente @ the Esplanade. Used my chipboard accents and tried a simple layout this time. Layering pattern papers and borders.

Used strips of leftover cardstock for journalling coz i really cant find any suitable journaling pads.

Added stickles to the border strips. Cant really tell from the picture but I added it to every dot of the yellow border strip and on alternate hearts.

I used my new MM edge distresser! Nice? beats tearing of paper anytime! Love the distressed love. Was pondering if I should ink it but decided to leave it as it is for a clean feel.

I heart my Christmas gift!

Nicely wrapped by the man himself. I am so proud of him! Will save the wrapper and ribbon for my christmas layouts!
Tadah! My layouts have found a home! Two homes! So happy to have the albums! I have filled one and the other is just waiting for more LOs from me. Kekeke.. PS: One the album held a very very very special layout made by ro. Do you guys want to have a look at it? Need to ask if he minds sharing though.. :)

She Lovessss It...

Super fake surprised pose. Ro told Mae Sie to act like she loves the prezzie even if she doesnt. How little confidence he has in the work that I do.
That's the true expression. See how excited she was while unwrapping?

Tadah! Another one who loves it! Super Star!!

Another satisfied one!

The amount of 'ooohsss' and 'Ahhhhhsss' really brighten up my day! A wonderful wednesday morning at cedele. I'm glad everyone loves it, esp since it is done to suit each and everyone. Vintage look for Ashley!

The last shadow box for the year??

A blackish one.. suitable for a chic little lady that loves no other color but black. What's the color that she wears every single day? Its black. Whats the color of her bracelets/bangles? Its black. So, what's the theme color of her shadow box? Its black!! My mum says its the nicest layout/shadow box that I have done.
see the silverish black rose? They were pure white. Photos corners given to me from janet. She bot them for her wedding but didnt use. I spritz them with my graphite glimmer mist and they turned into this nice shade of silverish black.
The cardstock. I spritz it with 4 kinds of glimmer mist. After the class at Leena's I am seriously hooked on them! I sprayed Graphite, Olive, Coffee shop and Moonlight. Notice the butterfly? i stuck the butterfly that I punched out at Leena's and paste it as a mask. Nice? And den after I used gold pearl powder to do splatter paint! In the end, I splattered some onto my arms.. wahahaha.. talk about lousy aiming.
See the butterfly? I used the balance of the gold pearl and painted some of them. These are the butterflies which i used as mask for the card stock. the silverish looking ones were those with only the glimmer mist. I love the rock candies on the leaves. Look like sugar rite?

My First Canvas Class!

I had so much fun at Leena's house and I love the outcome of my canvas! Wow... alot of technique learnt in a day. I learned to pain, to mist, to splatter paint, to use hambly's, to joke an dot laugh and most importantly, to enjoy scrapping! Love it?

Grand Canyon

Developed some photos that Ro took last year when he was located at Austin. So happy with the outcome of this layout coz its so manly! kekeke.. and hor, no negative remarks from both Ro & my mum.
I love these embellishments i bought from MWL. See the sign? its states Grand canyon! I bot it especially for this layout. so tempted to buy the Paris & London one to keep. I glossy accented the stickers. See the big lizard? Ro hates lizards but no remarks from him on this.

A small tag from my previous collection of embellishments. made of chipboard and i glossy accent it. Fastened with a brad leftover from our previous workshop.

Journalling by Ro. I dont know what to write so I forced him to do it. Since it's his experience at Grand Canyon and not mine :)

Did I mention how much I heart the shadow box for Mae Sie?

So much so that I gotten another piece of pattern paper similar to the one i used for her shadow box! Kekeke.. I love Sassafrass! This collection of design needs no emblishment! Save $$ :P
Tadah! I used up 1 packet of pop up dots, meaning about 84 pieces :P
And i finally got to use my pearls! Can see? In the rays shooting up. I alternated diamontes and pearls for each ray. and of coz stickles! I need to get more coz my current bottle is running low :(

Ran out of 'e' and had to use '3' to substitute. Ran out of 'a' thus i cut up the 'b' and inverted it. Ran out of 't' thus I used 'x' and tilted it. Oh my! I am such a stingy person!
Placed my title on a transparency coz the pop up rays made it difficult to stick on properly.

Hot air balloons! So suitable for a travel layout right? I love it coz they provided journaling space! No more panicky hunt for journaling card or sorts.
I love this layout. Do you??

Red is my favourite color!

Red pattern paper with pink polka dots! Doesnt it brighten up your mood? Did a simple simple layout to cheer my wednesday up. Cut out the flowers, rainbows etc from the Sassfrass paper and positions them ot look like bellies below my photo. Love the curtain on top? Its the scan tag for the Sassafrass paper. They're really clever aint they?

Pardon my flower for not having the full petals. I tot it didnt look very obvious. Wanted to save the rest for my other layout and shadow box for my cousin. Wanted to use the Sassafrass letters for the word paradise but I ran out of 'a' and 'r'. Well, just nice to finish using the cursive thickers from our previous class. Pasted the thickers on yellow cs and distress it. The yellow was too bright.
This bunch of flowers & rainbows were actually seperated pretty far apart from each other. I cut them out and clustered them together. wanted to pop all up at different levels but decided against it coz the effect isnt that great. See the glitters? I decorated the paper with stickles to ensure they dun look dull. Added robin's nest gem to the centre of the flowers.

I realised I have never bought any journaling card or small paper mats to do so and I am hopeless in terms of cutting shapes. Thank god I had paper whimsies left over from the Monstrosity class previously. Journaled on the card, pasted on the balance yellow cs, distress and it stick it on! I'm done! I heart red!

Too plain??

Seen some works of others that uses inchies (little squares) for the layouts. However, Ro says I've downgraded back to the time I did my 1st layout, no standard. Anyway, i still like this layout. Something simple, plain and cute.
Pop up the photo to give it more definition and used glossy accent on the chipboard stickers. Not sure why there always is bubbles in them while they're drying up.
I finally used my pearl paints! The cursive letterings come in plain chipboard and i painted them with my gold pearl followed by glossy accent to take away the vintage look. No more red 'o' thus i used the asterix in the Sassafrass letters.
Used stickles to decorate the flowers and finally got a chance to use up the brads leftover from classes. I like the lace ribbons used. Do you?
This layout will be used for my album chapter on places we visit for food. Stay tuned for more LO coming up. Btw, I have a canvas class on Sunday. So excited!!

A Babe.. Pretty as a flower..

A christmas prezzie for a wonderful ex collegaue. I ran out of creative juice and decided to scraplift from a teacher in MWL, Aida Haron. :P first saw her work in MWL's wall. She had made hers using her elder daughter's picture and I fell in love with it. So inovative and most importantly, so 3d! Hope Ash will like it.. Now i have to find a time to meet her!

Surprise Reveled

Remember I had a little sneak in my October post here?http://thescrapaholiccouple.blogspot.com/2009/10/little-sneak-for-little-prezzie.html
Tadah! Revealed! My very first work of shadow box and its for Nana!

So Glad she likes it.. Been really worried that it is too plain and simple. But den again, i chose the nice sweet pastel colors and sweet little pink deer just for her. :)
