Fairytale...

Completed! Fairytale it is.. Added little blings on the netting for a princessy feel and titled it Fairytale :)

My grey thickers seemed abit harsh and thus I inked it with gold ink. The result is a vintage dull gold color. Not too sure why the photo doesn't capture it but it sure looks good in real life! Thanks all for the suggestion! I love to see that there are actually people reading my blog! Love you all! Muacks!

Not completed yet...

Somehow there seems to be something missing.. Blings? Pearls? Title? Any suggestions for title? Using Webster's pages Lullaby Lane (In due time). The moment I saw this photo, I knew how I wanted to scrap it. So happy with the outcome and although it is still not complete, I thought to post it up just for sneaks...

I went to spotlight today thinking to buy some tulle but I found something cheaper and looks almost the same! Mosquito net! LOL! I swear it looks exactly like the skirt of my gown in the photo!
I don't know how you feel, but I always feel Websters' MUST go with ribbons and trims. Ribbon from Daiso. Been wanting to stock up on this (my very favourite) but it seems they no longer carry this anymore.

Always remember to glossy accent the details/patterns on Webster's papers as they seem to come alive and adds dimension! Do let me know your suggestions for title!

~ MWL Scrap Dare #2 ~

My favourite MWL has issued a new scrap dare #2. Use fashion as your spring board for your 12" x 12" layout. You can be inspired by details on Fashion Apparels (ie: buttons, ribbons, lace, etc) AND/OR Fashion Trends (ie: Pleats, color block, Ruffles, Polka dots, etc) Layout has to be 12" x 12" (no digitals please).

Here's my take on it. Lace seems to be here to stay, I see people with lace tops, skirts and even shoes with lace design! So lace it is! Using Prima papers, Pastiche collection, "Heartstrings". I found the background too plain for my liking and used Tattered Angel's glimmer mist in Olive, Graphite and Moonlight for the background. Thanks to Jasmine for the Glimmer Class, I got a new background!

Used stickles to accentuate the beautiful motif on the papers as the glimmer mist has dulled it or rather cover most of it.

My glimmer-ed background. Love the lace effect!

Butterflies! Love the cut-out. Cutting is therapeutic you know?

Lined the cut-out with black paper to emphasize. Pardon the crooked lines. It's the first time I'm using the craft knife :)

So here's my take. What's yours? Join me for the challenge!

~ MWL Scrap Dare #1 ~

Here's my completed LO for Made with love's scrap dare challenge #1! So glad to be able to finally publish it!

Used Bo Bunny's Peacock Lane Item #12P310 pattern paper. Check out the blings I added to the paper. Sequins underneath the bling diamante to create extra ohm.

Broke out my new stash of American craft thickers. Rainboots glitter foam letters. My ultimate favourite combination! Glitter, foam and cursive letters!

Decorate the Japanese ang bao with the leftover dollies from my butterflies. Oh!!! My DIY Butterflies! Do you like them? They flutter when the fan is blowing on them. Let me show you how to do it!

First, punch out the butterflies on PP or CS. I traced my the negative of the punch out butterflies (I don't have the punch :P) and cut them out.

Next, I glimmer misted my dollies to suit the paper and cut out the edge of the dolly paper to the size of the butterfly wings.

Stick the dolly onto the butterfly. Take note to only stick the center of the butterfly so that the wings get to flutter when there is wind.

Color the body of the butterfly and apply stickles! There you have it! DIY Butterflies!

Japan Mini Album

In order to satisfy my posting itch (yep, I am sooooo tempted to pose my scrap challenge LO!), I decided to post the mini album I learnt in Aida's Good Days Class.

A mini album to document Mummy's trip to Japan this year. I am so grateful to Mr Ro who bought me the photo printer. Printing's a breeze now. Big or small whichever size I need. I love my Selphy!

You can actually flip the japanese woman 'open' and you would be able to see my aunt. LOL! Not on purpose okay! It just so happens that the additional flap covers her.

Ramen Ramen.. Ooo... I have craving for that. Do you know the Selphy comes with the 'brighten face' mode? Something like Gen's camera's make up mode. Nice!

I love this japanese lady. So cute right? I even filed Mummy's JR Rail pass as a momento.

Oh oh! I love the sakura picture taken. Nice hor? And also the photo on the left. Mummy's smiling naturally.

I'm so glad I went to the class. really love the sun rays that are on the cover and back, not to mention the glitter butterfly! Never knew paint can be used to hold the glitter. I bought glitters after tat! Lol!

Do you dare to?

My favourite scrapbook store Made With Love has issued a scrap dare #1..

Here are what you have to do:
- Use one or more of either Butterfly, Moth, Caterpillar or Bee on your layout. If you don't have any of the shapes embellishment, you can cut out your own from pattern paper or paint your own! OR use a pattern paper with Butterflies on them. As long as it's obvious on the layout you are in the challenge.
- An Envelope (make your own using papers or use the pre-made ones).
- The layout must be 12" x 12" (n0 digitals please)

Gen and I have decided to challenge each other by agreeing to scrap the same photo and at the end of it, exchange the LO with each other as keepsake. On top of that, we will be getting someone (undecided at the moment) to judge and loser treats drinks during lunch!

I'm done with mine and I can only say I had fun! DIY Butterflies and I am so proud of them. I love them! The LO is currently lying on my table waiting for Gen to finish hers before I can reveal mine. I bet Gen is getting upset with all the sms I gave her about me being so sure I would win. LOL!~

Stay tuned and keep scraping!

May I come in Please?

After a scrapping hiatus, while I was lusting over the iRock, I chance upon a wonderful opportunity to snap this photo of Mr Button. The designs on the door grill fitted his face exactly. Love him sticking out his tongue. And of course I HAVE to scrap it!

Pop-ups are a must on Button's LO. Adding dimension to the otherwise boring LO. Yes, I bought 2 pieces of the same pattern paper. Helen Darkik by Creative Imaginations.

Love this doggy sticker I found in my stash. Journalling, 'A photo of Button waiting outside the door after his stroll. Uncle Rowan was using the toilet hence Button can't shower.'

Used black pen to draw the fake stitches to enhance the speech bubble. Decided to put a speech bubble to match the ones coming out from all the animals on the pattern paper. Simple but cute isn't it?
